Kevin finds a bank vole!
With the recent launch of the OPAL Biodiversity Survey, I thought I'd show you a photo of a delightful small mammal found in many hedgerows around the UK.
This rather cute rodent is called a Bank Vole and feeds on the berries and insects we are surveying as a part of the OPAL Biodiversity Survey!
The Mammal Society provides free factsheets on many of our mammals. Check out the Shrews, Voles and Mice to see what might be living in your local hedgerow!
