Our cities, towns and villages are home to a wide range of plants and animals just waiting to be discovered. We want to get everyone interested in the natural world right on their doorsteps.

Green Spaces
Research has shown that visiting green spaces such as parks and allotments has many health benefits, especially for those of us living in cities. Yet few people are aware of this or realise there is so much wildlife close to where they live, work or go to school.

Take part in an OPAL survey in the West Midlands
Learn more about our environment with an OPAL survey. We can provide training, lead groups or run a survey in your area. Just ask!

We can organise nature events and help improve your green space
We are always pleased to help you enjoy, study or improve your local green space in any way we can. We can run wildlife events such as bat nights and bug-hunts, answer your wildlife questions, or provide advice on improving your green space. Get in touch if you'd like to find out more.

Join in our local research projects - bats, birds, bees and moths

Help spot our tagged birds and contribute to our study on their survival. Take part in our bat or moth research, or set-up a bee hotel in your garden. These are just some of the activities that you can join in to help you observe, understand, and enjoy your local environment.
