Why register for an OPAL account?

There are many benefits to having an OPAL account.
 

Keep track of your OPAL surveys
Whether you complete one or more surveys, with an OPAL account you can keep track of all your contributions on the ‘My survey results’ page. Our result maps will also highlight the surveys you’ve submitted.

OPAL Explorers
Registered users automatically become an OPAL Explorer. By completing three or more different  surveys you can claim a free OPAL Explorers Pack.
 

Analyse your survey data
As a registered user, you can view your hedge awards and pollution scores side-by-side for each site you surveyed. If you complete an air survey, you can also compare your recorded lichen distribution with results across the country.

Comment on news stories and blogs
Voice your opinion by leaving comments on our news stories and blog posts.
