Earthworm Society of Britain launch event - a scientific test of worm charming

Saturday 31 October, Hyde Park, London

Nature enthusiasts, scientists and curious passersby came together in Hyde Park for the launch of the Earthworm Society of Britain.

The event aimed to find the most effective method of charming earthworms from the ground. Would it be stamping, 'twanging', 'grunting' or perhaps a little music that would attract the most wrigglers to the surface?

Funded by OPAL, the Earthworm Society of Britain gives people the opportunity to learn more about earthworms and participate in ongoing research.
