3 November 2009, Lindon Bennett School, Hanworth
The OPAL Air Team, helped by Susanna Ramsey (who provided the specimens) and teacher Karen Hanson, held a 'Nature Explorer Day' at Lindon Bennett primary school.
Lindon Bennett is a school that caters for children with severe mental and physical disabilities. The day's activities included looking at deer bones, learning about lichens, drawing butterflies, and exploring flight using feathers and paper planes. In the afternoon we went outside to explore nature in the school garden.
