Help shape the future of OPAL surveys

It’s starting to get cold, rainy and windy outdoors, so we don’t blame you if you're reluctant to go out and carry out OPAL surveys!

However, we have a nice, easy survey that you can fill in while sat at your computer (or on your mobile and tablet, of course!).

OPAL surveys, from lichens to bugsIf you have taken part in an OPAL survey within the last year, we'd like you to take part in our opinion poll. We want to know what you thought, your best and worst bits about the survey and how the survey has impacted on you.

But why is this important? There are two main reasons:

  1. It is important for us to evaluate the impact of OPAL. Our funders, the Big Lottery Fund, want to ensure that we have made good use of your money. Plus, it helps us understand what our strong and weak points are for the future.
  2. It helps us to improve. In particular, this winter we are carrying out a review of all of our surveys to ensure that they are up to date, can be carried out by as many people as possible in all areas of the UK and are still scientifically relevant. So your feedback will be really valuable.

You can access the questionnaire at any time and it should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete.

By taking part, you will also be helping to shape the future of OPAL – a pretty big achievement for a 10-minute questionnaire!
