OPAL featured in UK Plant Health Information Portal

The UK Plant Health Information Portal, an online hub for plant health information, data and resources provided by the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), has featured OPAL in its citizen science section as one of the initiatives that could provide opportunities for members of the public to get involved in combatting threats to plant health.

The portal was recently launched in November 2016. It is a shared resource that provides information about plant pests and diseases, including the assessments of risk undertaken by government and the data underpinning those assessments. It also contains links to other useful sites and information on plant health controls as well as services provided by government.

Check out the portal for information and resources on plant health, to know more about pests and diseases, and provide feedback to help improve the portal!

You can also learn more about plant health by exploring nature with OPAL's identification guides and resources, and take part in our national surveys!
