Observatree project just launched

More than 200 UK-wide Observatree volunteers have been trained as citizen scientists. You can read the full story in their media release or visit their website for more details.
Observatree is a collaborative project between Forest Research, the Forestry Commission, APHA, Defra, Fera, the National Trust, Natural Resources Wales and the Woodland Trust. Funded by the EU’s Life programme, we aim to monitor the health of and identify pest and disease threats to UK trees.
How to get involved?
You can help Observatree to establish their UK tree health early warning system by looking out for signs and symptoms and reporting concerns through Tree Alert. You can also visit the Observatree experts or hear from them at forthcoming shows:
  • 16 June – Pound Farm tree health awareness day (Suffolk)
  • 20-23 July – Royal Welsh Show (Powys)
  • 22-23 August – Community Woods Association Conference (Argyll)
