The Royal Parks have worked closely with OPAL, making their grounds available for OPAL activities and events.
About the Royal Parks
The Royal Parks manage 5,000 acres of historic parkland across Greater London and almost everything in these green spaces, including buildings, statues and memorials. They also conserve the parks to ensure future generations can enjoy them too.
Royal Parks and OPAL
The Royal Parks regularly made their grounds available for activities and events during the first phase of the OPAL project, including the launch of our first survey, the OPAL Soil and Earthworm Survey.
They have also provided hands-on training to schoolchildren, especially those from deprived backgrounds, to help them investigate and enjoy the flora and fauna of the parks.
